Crusaders Silver Ring with Cross and Script. Ca. 1200 A.D

A wearable and very rare silver Medieval Ring from the Holy Lands; formed by a thick oval hoop; shoulders decorated with stylized face masks; forming a round bezel with a script on the edge; holy cross depicted in the middle. The script resembles runic symbols and masks are similar to Viking depictions of god Idin. The iconography of the ring suggests that it was possibly owned by a Norse warrior who fought as a knight in the Holy Lands. Good Condition. Provenance: From an old British collection formed in the 1980s. Size: US:9.5 / EU:60; 12.5g
